Create panes as percentages

   If I have no client space and create pane A as DockLeftOf and pane B as DockRightOf they both take up 50% of the space.  The same thing happens if I create Pane A as DockLeftOf NULL and Pane B as DockLeftOf pane A.  Is there any way to change these ratios?  I'd like it to be a 40/60 split.
I could find out the total window size and then calculate the size of the percentages and set the min/max width of the window to force the sizes I want but I was hoping there was an easier way ...
