I have problems to start some VB6 samples of release 15.0.1

The Chart Browser sample sends an error message:

Cannot find "ActiveView"

in Sub:

Public Sub SwitchActiveView(Id As String)

Controls.Remove "ActiveView"

The Chart Sample sample sends an error message in sub:

Private Sub cmbHatch_Click()

Set Diagram = xSeries.Diagram

I deinstalled release 13.4.1 before

Hello,

No problem for me.
Try to reinstall the 15.0.1 and run manually the COM Registrator.

Sorry I just wanted to help you.

On a new PC but you said you've un-installed the 13.4.1 before.
I've tried to download and install the 15.0.1 on a just formated W7 PC and it works fine without any error.

Hi,

The official Microsoft "Support Statement for Visual Basic 6.0 on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7" can be found at...

Link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vbasic/ms788708

The answer is yes VB6 does run on Windows 7!

VB6 IDE does run on Windows7, you just have to jump through a few hoops to get it working properly.

Thanks, actually its strange.

There is "On Error Resume Next" before and indeed first call should fail but Error should not be displayed because of this instruction. (if I remove it, I see same)

Maybe your Vb6 has some property or special installed thing that ignores "On Error" instruction ?

If you right click on the code pane you get a popup menu. It contains a menu Toggle. If you select this menu you get three options: Break on All Errors, Break in Class Module and Break on Unhandled Errors. Maybe you have option one or two selected instead of the third option.
