You have inserted namespaces Codejock e MAPI into calendar/mapi/mapixxx.h ( not present in 16.40 )
This conflict with include wab.h ( wabdefs.h, wabutil.h, etc ), since I cannot undef your using namespace, do you have a solution ? TIA

We've introduced another fix for this problem for the next update. Note, MAPI will be disabled by default and you will have to define _XTP_INCLUDE_CALENDAR_MAPI before inclusion of ToolkitPro or Calendar headers. Once a new version is out please test and let me know if all is OK. For the moment all I can suggest is to use all MAPI related headers in the v17.0 Calendar with those of v16.4, this should not break anything.
Thank you. Regards, Alex

Hi,
When do you expect an update for this ('the next update' doesn't say much )? I'm in the process of pre-converting my (huge) projects for the 17.0.0 because I want to see if some other issues are fixed and I want to be ready for an update to my customers ASAP . And the MAPI namespace is killing me because I have my own MAPI (Uhm mail..) classes that supports all kind of mail, not just MAPI. It would be nice if the toolkit uses its own (new) CXTPMail (or something like that) class structure which it would use. I can then derive my own mail classes from it and add the support requested by my customers. (So please add enough virtual functions ) Great to see that VS2015/VC140 is added in this release! Keep up the good work guys, but please can you do more than one release a year Regards, Insad |

Hello Insad,
We were going to release it this week but the testing stage is still not complete and with this beta release we prefer to avoid critical issues as we had with beta 2. It will be very soon, we do our best to deliver it within about a week. Thanks. Regards, Alexander

Hi Alexander,
Thanks for the work you're putting into the v17 release cycle. I think v17 looks very promising overall, and your responsiveness to bug reports is greatly appreciated. - Mark R.

Hi Alexander,
thanks for the fast reply [ :) ] What I currently doing is migrating (most) of our applications to VS2015. And in this process I would like to add TKP 17.0.0 so the next version of our product use the 'leading edge' toolkits and compilers This process will undergo some beta testing as well before deploying to the customers. However in the current process I have the problem with the TKP; For TKP 16.4.1 there are no solutions/projects for VS2015 and we have chosen not to make them ourselves but go directly to the TKP 17.0.0, which has the MAPI issue (the toolkit builds okay but our apps won't compile because it uses the standard MAPI stuff from the Windows SDK in our mailing library). So I'm all for some beta versions but it would be nice if I can continue my process of migrating to VS2015. I'm looking forward to the beta 3. Great job guys, keep on coding! |
