Upgrading to 10.3 - good idea ?

   Hi, 

I am currently using XTremeToolkitPro 9.80 which is working just fine. I have made some customizations / fixes in the sources on my own and submitted code snipplets/suggestions to Codejock and as I can see many of them are implemented in recent versions of the toolkit. That's very good and thanks to Codejock for listening.
I am now wondering about upgrading to 10.3 - I do not really need all those "ribbons" but I would like to have fixes.
My 3 big questions are:
a ) is 10.3 as stable as 9.80 ?
b ) how much bigger is 10.3 compared to 9.80 ?
c ) are there any serious problems in 10.3 (not counting "ribbons")

I am concerned about the size of the library and I am always building customized versions that only use things that I really need and I have made some tweaks and fine-tunings here. If I move to 10.3 I would need to re-do most of those things and this is quite a pain.
Therefore I would love to hear some opinions from 10.3 before I commit myself to re-do the work I did on 9.80.

	Tomasz, In order to get a good idea about new functionalities, bugfixes, ..., have a look at the release notes: http://www.codejock.com/products/releasenotes/release_notes.asp My answers to your questions: a) Each new release is stable. The 10.3 version has some little bugs (as any other release), but they are almost all in the ribbon. Wait for 10.3.1 to be sure. b) 9.8.1 was about 2.9Mo. 10.3 is about 4.14Mo (win32 release versions) c) I upgrade my code with all new versions of XTP and I never encountered serious problems. Some syntaxes changed, so I have to change my code in consequence, but it is not complicated. I also added some addons and modifications on XTP sources, so I re-do these modifications at each upgrade, but without serious problems. And Oleg is very reactive when you got questions. The new version is Skin and ribbon oriented, but a number of bugs was corrected and a number of cool features was added too. Try to upgrade with a copy of your code, may be it won't be so long. However, if you already get everything you need and if your application is stable, may be you don't need to upgrade for now... Hope this help
