I have a need to prevent a CXTPDockingPane from being docked or resized - I always want a floating pane of the same size.  Can this be done in the current XTP implementation?

Thanks,

I do not believe any of this is possible.  I use the ActiveX version and you can only keep them from hidding and closing the docking pane, and the pane has to start out docked to something.  All panes are resizable and cannot be disabled.  Why use a docking pane if you will not use it as a docking pane?  You could just have another form floating that you can have full control of the size.  You would just have to keep panes from being docked in the form.

Agree, use CMiniFrameWnd instead docking panes.
