We have a win32 app, an MDI app, which we recently upgraded to use CodeJock DockingPane 13.0.0 OCX.
So now, some of our little floating windows are dockable. So far, so good. The problem is that bad things can happen to a floating window while the app is minimized: 1. Run our application and open a floating window -- make sure it is not docked. 2. Minimize the application. 3. Right-click on the Windows desktop and change something, such as the Windows theme, or even just change the Desktop wallpaper image. At this point, the application is still minimized, But, the floating window pops up all by itself. This is a problem for us, and it just looks very flaky. If the user then interacts with the floating window, other bad things can happen because the main application window is still minimized. I'm running XP but I believe the problem also happens on Vista. The application is pretty large, so I do not have a sample app that I can post, at the moment. Is this a known bug, and is there a fix? If not, then, can someone at least try what I'm describing -- un-dock a dockable window, minimize the app, and change the Windows wallpaper? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Thank you, Oleg!
Can you give me any idea about the time-frame -- are we talking about the next major release, or the next maintenance release, next month, next year...? |
