I like your calendar control, but the thing I'm mainly missing is a Gantt view. I've seen that BCGSoft offers one for their BCGSuite. Is it planed to include a Gantt view in a further release or do I have to look for another solution?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Ingo

As a start, it would be sufficient to have something like a task view, where I can scroll horizontally through the days and where I can scroll vertically through the events (tasks). Something similar as your week view, but without the hours part and with a horizontal scroll bar to scroll through the weeks and a vertical scroll bar to scroll through the events (if there are a lot of events defined for a day). And if the user could change the scale of the horizontal time axis, it would be fantastic.
Kind Regards
Ingo

Hi does this mean, for rel 13 you're planning to release something like Outlooks timeline or is it really a full Gantt chart type as show in sample image below:

The last one would be great!!!

Do you have plans to extend the gantt control to something similar as shown in my image?

I think so - just take some time. Btw - in our Report component in Release 13 we will have similar element - color rectangle inside report item with size related to % value and text of value and developers can extend it to use in GANTT mode.

I think you can't use a report control to draw a Gantt chart, because the tasks in the Gantt chart start somewhere in one column and end somewhere in another column, but your report control will allow only a bar inside one column element.

Essentially this is not a problem - once I implemented Gantt chart component based on own extention of CodeProject grid. Each column represent some time unit and you can fill all columns in interval for given task with task one color and paint already completed part in another color and put text with % complete and task name or description.
CJ RC also kind of grid so it is possible use it to build task managment with percent complete indicator.
Another approach - not grid-based - use CJ Calendar with coming Timeline mode. Let's see that happens in coming months.
