This is a numeric edit usercontrol which is made using FlatEdit and UpDown controls. I've made this in the hope someone from CJ can take a look at what's needed and maybe include something like this in the SuiteControls package.

Main features:
Min/Max properties
Allows negatives
Decimal places
Stops invalid text from being pasted or entered
Responds to mousewheel
Uses the local settings for decimal point and negative sign.

This is just a first attempt at replacing the need for ComponentOne TrueDBNumber control (which doesn't skin).

Feel free to suggest improvements, report bugs or even help out!

Feature still to add:
Number formatting - this might not be done (by me at least)
Option to hide UpDown control
Option to turn off MouseWheel

I am always on the lookout for a decent number edit control - I'm still using the old Farpoint InputPro stuff

It would have to support thousand separators too though.  I also think that numbers could be left, centre or right aligned and the up/down work at significant figure or decimal level.

This is a damn good start though so cheers!

Why has noone else replied to this or no Codejock response received?  What number editing control are most people using and are they happy with it?

Hi,

I don't hang around here much now so didn't see your post before.

CJ said in another thread that they're not interested in this.

Timosoft do free components including an updown edit control which might have something of interest:
