Tab index in workspace

   How can i get the tab location and id/index of a PANE in  midi form workspace? 
I need to be able to select a node in a tree and load a form that has a listview index. When selecting the tree node  after the form and listview have been loaded and linked to an id of a particular node, it should take me to that tab.
the only method i see for indentifying a tab is with the RCLICK and ACTION, we need a Left Click and an index location so we can find the tab.
