What if you download the product to evaluate an find that a cruical piece is missing? I tried creating s support request, but it seems to have ended up in a black hole. Any ideas?

No different issue. Should have mentioned that. The issue is that you cannot even create a project with the wizard. There are several posts on the issue here, ie:
