A client running windows 7 has problems starting our application.
They get an Error 339 "Component "Codejock.SkinFramework.v13.0.0.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid They tried two setups, one created with INNO setup and another as a MSI installer. The installations were performed by an administrator. After the installation the files seems to be in place. We have multiple clients using Windows 7 and they are the first reporting this problem. Any clues? |

Hi Oleg,
Yes it's a VB6 application. I created two different installers for the components only. 1. created with INNO setup; "PrivilegesRequired=admin" 2. A MSI setup, also only when having admin rights. First I'm going to check with the client whether the files exists on the target machine.

The files do exist on the target machine, but are somehow not registered by the installer.
Manual registering of the files went fine, strange! |
