Choppy Docking Pane Animation While Collapsing

   Hello, 

In my SDI application I have a View (that draws pictures and other graphics to the client area) and a docking pane. I am using double-buffering using the CXTMemDC class.

The problem i am facing is that while the docking pane collapses, the view underneath it redraws in response to every animation step causing the docking pane's animation to be choppy. 

Is there a way to make the docking pane collapse smoothly while maintaining the contents of the underneath view?
